For Clinicians

Clinician Practice & Engagement

Yes. IASO Medipark offers structured visiting consultant programmes, allowing diaspora physicians to contribute periodically while retaining their primary practice abroad. Engagement models include full-time specialist roles, part-time consulting, and structured visiting consultant programmes — providing maximum professional flexibility for overseas practitioners.

Specialty services include oncology, cardiology, nephrology, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics, and maternal–child health, among others. All specialties are welcome at IASO Medipark — particularly those that enhance tertiary and quaternary care capabilities. Phase 2 will expand the offering to include advanced cardiology, transplant surgery, and assisted reproduction.

Yes. Clinicians must obtain licensure from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). IASO Medipark provides active support in navigating the licensing process for qualified diaspora specialists, working with the MDCN to facilitate a streamlined pathway for experienced international practitioners returning to contribute to Nigeria's healthcare sector.

Clinicians can earn through multiple channels at IASO Medipark, including:

  • Competitive clinical salaries for full-time and part-time roles
  • Private practice revenue from owned clinic or specialty practice
  • Investment returns from real estate or commercial medical ventures
  • Consulting and academic engagement fees

The Lagos Medipark Specialist Group (LMSG) comprises over 100 leading specialists from Nigeria and the diaspora. IASO Medipark is actively engaging with this network to facilitate seamless integration for overseas practitioners seeking to contribute to the healthcare sector in Nigeria. The LMSG serves as a community of practice, peer network, and pathway for diaspora physicians looking to reconnect with Nigerian healthcare.

For Investors

Investment & Finance

Clinicians and investors can acquire interests in three categories of real estate within the Medipark:

  • Commercial medical spaces — for private clinics and specialist practices
  • Residential apartments — luxury long-term ownership units
  • Short-let accommodations — designed to support medical tourism and visiting practitioners

IASO Medipark facilitates access to diaspora-focused investment programmes and healthcare financing opportunities through both Nigerian and international financial institutions. The team can connect interested physicians and investors with appropriate lenders and financing structures tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.

IASO Medipark is developed under a formal Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Lagos State Government, operating under a long-term Build-Operate-Maintain-and-Transfer (BOMT) concession agreement. This structure provides long-term legal stability, government backing, and a clear operational and ownership framework for the full concession period.

Phase 1 is targeted to be fully operational in Q2 2027, delivering 60 beds, 4 operating theatres, a fully equipped emergency department, a comprehensive cancer treatment centre, and renal dialysis suites. The construction timeline for Phase 1 is set at 24 months. Phase 2 construction is planned to commence 12 months after Phase 1 construction begins.

Standards & Accreditation

Quality & Accreditation

Hospital operations will adhere to international healthcare quality standards — the most globally recognised standard for healthcare quality and patient safety. international accreditation governs patient safety, quality of care, and organisational management across the entire hospital operation.

Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals, the operators of the IASO Medipark Hospital, have received multiple consecutive cycles of international accreditation, and will extend this practice excellence to IASO Medipark — with the goal of delivering international accreditation to the new hospital from its earliest operational phase.

The hospital will be operated by Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals, a subsidiary of Iwosan Healthcare Systems and a leading Nigerian healthcare provider with nearly four decades of experience. Iwosan acquired Lagoon Hospitals in 2021, and has since expanded services, achieved multiple consecutive international accreditation cycles, and enhanced clinical excellence across all departments. The Iwosan team will bring this proven operational expertise to IASO Medipark from day one.

The Lagos Medipark is a new development located on 1-9 Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, with a significant total project investment. The development includes a world-class multi-specialty hospital, dedicated diagnostics centre, energy centre, commercial medical tower, residential tower, conference facilities, skills training centre, and associated car parking and infrastructure.
